  • Non-toxic paints and varnishes

    EN 71-3 limits the migration of certain elements from toy materials—including paints, varnishes, and coatings used on children's products. It is a core European requirement for finishes that little hands (and mouths) may meet.

  • CE marking

    The CE mark shows that a product meets applicable EU health, safety, and environmental requirements for its category. It is the baseline passport for selling children's products on the European market.

  • FSC-certified Baltic birch

    Where our wooden furniture and play pieces use Baltic birch plywood, we look for FSC-certified wood—sourced from forests managed to protect biodiversity, workers, and long-term supply.

  • Activity toys for domestic use

    EN 71-8 covers home activity toys such as climbing frames and helper towers—requirements for stability, strength, and safe design in everyday family spaces. Relevant pieces in our selection are certified to this standard.

  • Restricted hazardous substances

    For products with electronics—such as night lamps—RoHS restricts hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment. Paired with CE marking, it is part of how we assess lighting and connected accessories.
